Body Composition Analysis

Body composition analysis is a quick and easy test to measure the amount of fat, body water and muscle you have in your body. Knowing your body composition can help you pinpoint goals to maximize your health while giving you an opportunity to physically see improvements over time as you make nutrition and lifestyle changes.

What is body composition?

Body composition is a method of breaking down the body into its core components: fat, protein, minerals, and body water. It describes your weight more accurately and provides a better glimpse into your overall health than traditional methods. Body composition analysis can accurately show changes in fat mass, muscle mass, and body fat percentage.

How does the test work?

Wipe your hands and feet with the InBody towelette for best conductivity. Step on the footplate to get a weight measurement and then enter your name, height, and age so we can track your progress. Adjust and maintain proper posture to ensure good electrical contact and conductivity.

What do the results mean?

With body composition, you’ll immediately know how many pounds of muscle and fat you have, as well as where these tissues are distributed. Your basal metabolic rate (how many calories your body burns per day) is also calculated. The results sheet tracks your progress over time so you can see how your body physically changes to lifestyle improvements you make.
